Shirazi salad takes its name from the Iranian city of Shiraz. It&#8217;s easy, quick, colorful and much lighter than a <a href=\"https:\/\/gateauetcuisinerachida.com\/en\/quick-and-easy-tuna-pasta-salad\/\">pasta salad<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Shirazi salad<\/strong> with cucumbers, tomatoes and onions is very similar to Moroccan salad. The ingredients are almost identical, except for the herbs and the preparation method.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>cucumber salad<\/strong> contains dried or fresh mint and parsley, whereas Moroccan cucumber salad contains no herbs.<\/p>\n<p>Each family prepares it in their own way. In Morocco cucumbers and tomatoes are peeled and finely chopped with onions. This economical, easy-to-prepare salad requires only a few readily available ingredients:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cucumber:<\/strong> Persian cucumbers are perfect for their crunchiness, but English cucumbers also work well thanks to their thin skin and absence of seeds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tomatoes:<\/strong> Choose ripe but firm ones. Remember to remove the seeds and juice to prevent the salad from becoming too runny.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onion<\/strong>: Red, white or sweet, use whichever you prefer, according to taste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fresh mint:<\/strong> Adds a typical aromatic touch. It&#8217;s a salad that&#8217;s very quick to prepare, and you can even make it in advance.<\/p>\n<p>Wash and dry vegetables thoroughly. Remove the seeds and juice from the tomatoes.
