Ingredients :

  • 400 g strawberries (14.1 oz )
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 persimmons (out of season, replace with more strawberries)
  • 450 ml (15.8 oz) freshly squeezed orange juice (more or less, depending on desired consistency)

Instructions :

Fruits preparation :

  • Wash and hull the strawberries.
  • Peel the bananas and persimmons, then cut into pieces.

Fruits blending :

  • Place all the fruits and orange juice in a blender (or use an immersion blender).
  • If you want to sweeten the smoothie slightly, add a tablespoon of honey, but this isn't necessary as the fruit is sweet enough.
  • Blend at high speed until smooth and homogeneous. Blending time will depend on the power of your blender, but generally takes a few minutes.
  • Check the consistency of the smoothie and add a little more orange juice or water if you find it too thick.
  • Pour into glasses and enjoy the smoothie immediately to savor its freshness and flavor.
  • Serve it with ice cubes to enjoy it very fresh You can also add ice cubes to the blender during blending. The result is an even more smooth and refreshing strawberry smoothie.
  • This colorful, vitamin-packed smoothie is now ready to enjoy! The combination of strawberries and other fruits offers an explosion of fruity flavours.

Notes

Tips of storage :
The strawberry smoothie should be consumed fairly quickly, to benefit from 100% of the vitamins. The smoothie will retain its full flavor and nutritional qualities when consumed quickly. Drink it  preferably within 24 hours after preparation, up to 48 hours in the refrigerator.
Once prepared, transfer immediately to an airtight container, such as a glass jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid. The No. 1 enemy of vitamins is air, which accelerates their oxidation.
Make sure your fridge is set at a sufficiently low temperature, ideally between 0°C and 4°C, to prevent the growth of bacteria and extend the smoothie's shelf life.
Shake bottle well before serving, as ingredients of different densities may tend to separate slightly. Stirring allows them to blend evenly.
