INGREDIENTS
 
 

  • 5 medium to large carrots
  • 300 ml orange juice
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Fresh turmeric root about 3 cm / 1.2 in, adjust to taste
  • Fresh ginger about 3 cm / 1.2 in, adjust to taste, Be careful, ginger is spicy

PREPARATION

  • Wash and peel the carrots, unless they’re organic, in that case, a good wash is enough.
  • Squeeze 3 or 4 oranges to get about 300 ml (10 oz) of juice, along with the juice of half a lemon. You can also peel the citrus fruits and put them directly into the juicer.
  • Peel the turmeric and ginger, or simply wash them thoroughly.
  • Pass all the ingredients (except the orange juice) through the juicer, then mix the extracted juice with the orange juice.
  • If you don’t have a juicer or juice extractor, you can use a blender. Blend all the peeled ingredients with the citrus juices, then strain the mixture using a fine sieve or a clean cloth.
  • Serve in glasses and enjoy well chilled. For maximum benefits, it’s best to drink the juice immediately after extraction, while the vitamins are still at their peak.
