This strawberry smoothie is dairy-free, making it perfect for those with lactose intolerance. The milk is replaced by orange juice. The creaminess and smoothness is provided by the banana. When it’s in season, adding persimmon will make the drink even more nutritious.
We’re big consumers of freshly squeezed juices or smoothies to fill up on vitamins throughout the day. I also have a juicer that allows me to make juices by combining fruits and vegetables. It’s very healthy and much better than store-bought juice.
It’s also a great way to use slightly overripe fruits and avoid wasting them. At home, everyone enjoys eating fruits when they are still fresh and firm. As soon as they are a few days old and have lost their firmness, they don’t want to eat them. No way to throw them away when you know the price of fruits. I use them to make delicious smoothies.
Of course, when I say ripe fruit, I don’t mean fruit that’s too soft or starting to show signs of spoilage, such as spots.
Always use good fruit for an optimal taste experience and to enjoy the nutritional benefits of fresh, healthy fruit.

Tips of storage :
The strawberry smoothie should be consumed fairly quickly, to benefit from 100% of the vitamins. The smoothie will retain its full flavor and nutritional qualities when consumed quickly. Drink it preferably within 24 hours after preparation, up to 48 hours in the refrigerator.
Once prepared, transfer immediately to an airtight container, such as a glass jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid. The No. 1 enemy of vitamins is air, which accelerates their oxidation.
Make sure your fridge is set at a sufficiently low temperature, ideally between 0°C and 4°C, to prevent the growth of bacteria and extend the smoothie’s shelf life.
Shake bottle well before serving, as ingredients of different densities may tend to separate slightly. Stirring allows them to blend evenly.
