If there’s one product to celebrate the festive season, it’s smoked salmon. It’s a must-have dip for preparing appetizers, and this smoked salmon dip is perfect. It’s super-simple to prepare, and a must-have recipe for any festive season.
When aperitif time comes, we bring out some olives, cherry tomatoes, and toast. It’s always nice to have spreads in the fridge. Smoked salmon dip is one of the most popular spreads and rillettes.
This smoked salmon and ricotta mousse is incredibly easy to make and comes together in no time. Even if you’re hosting unexpected guests and don’t have any, it’s ready in less than 10 minutes. You can serve it with crackers, toasted bread, or crunchy vegetables for an even more indulgent touch.
It’s also a great idea for a garnish. It will add a tasty, refined touch to your appetizers. Like fig confit, onion confit, this dip on blinis or toast as canapés is highly appreciated.
You will need smoked salmon, but there’s no need to buy fillets. Smoked salmon flakes, which are cheaper, will work perfectly. You can also use leftover cooked salmon, although you won’t get the distinctive smoky flavor, but the spread will still be delicious.
To prepare the dip, you will need ricotta, Philadelphia, or another soft cheese. I prefer ricotta, but it depends on your taste.
