Detox Juice Recipe: Carrot, Orange, Turmeric, and Fresh Ginger

Fresh Carrot, Orange, Turmeric, and Ginger Juice with or without a Juicer

Fresh carrot, orange, turmeric, and ginger juice is an energizing, detoxifying, and refreshing drink. Perfect for boosting your vitamin C intake and revitalizing the body first thing in the morning, this nutrient-packed juice is made from fresh fruits and vegetables passed through a juicer: carrots, orange juice, ginger, and fresh turmeric.

Rich in antioxidants, it helps cleanse the body, strengthen the immune system, and brighten the complexion. This detox juice is a great alternative to store-bought beverages, as it contains no preservatives or additives. It fits right in with the green juice trend, ideal for varying both the benefits and the flavors.

Depending on your taste, you can sweeten it with a bit of honey or agave syrup for a more natural touch. Perfect after periods of overindulgence, especially during the holidays, it helps you get back on track with healthy habits without sacrificing pleasure.

How to Make Carrot Juice without a Juicer?

A juice extractor or juicer is certainly convenient for making smooth, fiber-free fruit and vegetable juices. But if you don’t have one, don’t worry, it would be a shame to miss out on this kind of healthy drink.

The good news is that you can easily make this juice with a regular blender. Simply peel the carrots, turmeric, and ginger, and squeeze the oranges. Blend everything until smooth, then strain the mixture first through a fine mesh sieve, and again through a cheesecloth to get a silky, smooth juice.

Energy Booster Juice

This juice is exactly what you need to kick off a detox or simply enjoy its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits along with a boost of vitamins. It’s one of the best ways to strengthen your immune system while savoring a naturally delicious flavor.

Orange

Rich in vitamins C and A, it’s perfect for warding off winter illnesses and helping to slow down signs of aging.

Carrot

An excellent source of beta-carotene, vitamin A, and B vitamins. Packed with antioxidants, it helps protect eye cells and supports better vision. It also contains vitamin E, which contributes to keeping your skin smooth and youthful for longer.

Turmeric

More than just a vibrant spice, turmeric is known for its powerful health benefits. It’s a strong natural anti-inflammatory and offers protective effects against a range of diseases, especially cardiovascular conditions.

Ginger

A natural immunity booster and anti-inflammatory, ginger also helps improve insulin sensitivity. Rich in nutrients, it can be enjoyed fresh or in powdered form. It’s also great in herbal infusions to soothe a cough. Slightly spicy with a citrusy note, it adds a distinctive zing to this juice.

Carrot Orange Detox Juice

Refreshing Fresh Juice, Energy Booster

Ingredients:

  • 5 medium to large carrots
  • 300 ml orange juice (10 oz)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Fresh turmeric root (about 3 cm / 1.2 in, adjust to taste)
  • Fresh ginger (about 3 cm / 1.2 in, adjust to taste), Be careful, ginger is spicy

Preparation Steps:

Wash and peel the carrots, unless they’re organic, in that case, a good wash is enough.

Squeeze 3 or 4 oranges to get about 300 ml (10 oz) of juice, along with the juice of half a lemon. You can also peel the citrus fruits and put them directly into the juicer.

Peel the turmeric and ginger, or simply wash them thoroughly.

Pass all the ingredients (except the orange juice) through the juicer, then mix the extracted juice with the orange juice.

If you don’t have a juicer or juice extractor, you can use a blender. Blend all the peeled ingredients with the citrus juices, then strain the mixture using a fine sieve or a clean cloth.

Serve in glasses and enjoy well chilled. For maximum benefits, it’s best to drink the juice immediately after extraction, while the vitamins are still at their peak.

How Long Can this carrot Juice be Stored?

There’s nothing better than drinking the juice just a few minutes after it’s been prepared. Many vitamins, such as vitamin C, lose their potency over time as they are sensitive to oxidation.

If you can’t drink it right away, pour the juice into an airtight bottle, preferably a glass one, and seal it tightly. Store it in the refrigerator and consume it within 24 hours to get the most out of its benefits.
